Reis Kessel is a tight end from Fargo, North Dakota, who redshirted during the 2024 season. In 2025 as a freshman, he appeared in all 13 games with five starts, recording 15 receptions for 335 yards and one touchdown. He ranked third on the team with eight receptions of 20-plus yards and posted a career-long 50-yard reception against Southern Illinois. His 335 receiving yards set the program record for a tight end since 2008 and for a freshman tight end all-time. Kessel earned Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer honors and was named to the FCS Football Central Freshman All-America team and Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-America second team.
