Cortez LeGrant is a running back from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, who transferred to North Dakota State after spending the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Minnesota, where he redshirted in 2023. At Sun Prairie East High School, he was a two-time first-team all-state honoree with back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, including 1,467 yards and 22 touchdowns as a junior and 1,308 yards and 21 touchdowns on 159 carries his senior year. In 2025, LeGrant appeared in nine games for the Bison as a backup, recording 25 rushing attempts for 131 yards with a long run of 22 yards against Southeast Missouri State.
