Charles Ross III is a running back from Kansas City, Missouri, who attended St. Pius X High School, where he was a three-year starter. At the high school level, he earned All-state first team honors as a return specialist and All-conference first team recognition as a defensive back, while also playing running back and slot receiver. He set a school record for most kickoff returns and was part of district and conference championship teams. Ross redshirted during the 2025 season at North Dakota State, appearing in one game against Northern Iowa with one carry for three yards. He is a business major whose brother, Jayshawn Ross, plays linebacker at Alabama.
