Alex Elliott is a 6'2", 220-pound weakside linebacker from Hutchinson, Minnesota, who transferred to North Dakota State after two seasons at Minnesota. At Hutchinson High School, Elliott recorded 104 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions and three forced fumbles as a senior, earning 2022 all-state honors and selection to the Minnesota all-star game. He also helped the Tigers to a Class 4A state championship as a junior with 87 tackles. Elliott did not appear in games during his 2023 and 2024 years with the Gophers and was named Academic All-Big Ten for fall 2024. He sat out the 2025 season with an injury and majors in cybersecurity.
