Joseph Mupoyi is a 6'5", 261-pound right defensive end for North Carolina. Originally from Kinshasa, DR of the Congo, Mupoyi attended St. Thomas More School and Archbishop Carroll during his prep career, earning four-star recognition as the No. 38 edge prospect and No. 3 player in Connecticut in the 2023 class. He redshirted in 2023 at Penn State before appearing in two games during the 2024 campaign. Mupoyi transferred to the Tar Heels and currently holds redshirt junior/transfer status with jersey No. 25.
