Javion Butts is a safety for North Carolina who enrolled early as a three-star prospect from Jones County High School in Gray, Georgia. At the prep level, he was a four-year letterman and team captain, accumulating 135 tackles, four interceptions and 13 passes defended across his career. During his 2025 freshman season, Butts appeared in the final four games while retaining his redshirt, recording seven total tackles including five solo stops. He logged a season-high 21 snaps against Duke and posted four tackles in his best performance at NC State.
