Jaden Jefferson is a true freshman defensive back for North Carolina from Oakland, California. He attended De La Salle High School, where he competed in both football and track. On the football field, Jefferson played running back and defensive back, recording 19 tackles and an interception while adding 1,048 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he posted 31 tackles and two interceptions. In track, Jefferson won the CIF 100-meter dash state championship and broke the California 100m record with a 10.01.
