Drew Speech is a 6'2", 204-pound nickelback for the New Mexico Lobos who transferred in as a redshirt senior. Originally from Hollister, California, Speech attended San Benito High School before playing at Monterey Peninsula JC from 2022–2024, where he recorded 33 tackles and two interceptions in 2023. He joined New Mexico in 2024, appearing in four games with eight tackles and a pass breakup before earning a redshirt. In 2025, Speech played in 11 games with two starts, recording 11 tackles and leading the team with eight pass breakups, including six consecutive games with at least one pass breakup through the postseason.
