Austin Brawley is a free safety from Massillon, Ohio, who transferred to New Mexico after three seasons at Ohio. During his junior year with the Bobcats in 2024, he appeared in seven games and recorded 38 tackles, including 23 solo, plus 1.5 tackles for loss, an interception, and two pass breakups. In his 2025 senior season with the Lobos, Brawley played in four regular season games while earning a redshirt after suffering a broken bone in his foot that caused him to miss 10 weeks. He recorded 26 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three pass breakups, and a team-leading three interceptions. He was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week twice despite the injury.
