Mateo Rodriguez is a redshirt sophomore right guard for New Mexico State who hails from Chandler, Arizona. As a three-star recruit, he was ranked the No. 60 overall prospect in Arizona and helped Chandler High School to an 8-3 record in 2023, when the team averaged 197.4 rushing yards per game and 186.5 passing yards per game. Rodriguez redshirted during his 2024 freshman season. In 2025, he appeared in all 12 games for the Aggies, recording eight starts at left guard and four starts at right guard.
