Kalani McLeod is a sophomore quarterback at New Mexico State standing 6'2" and weighing 205 pounds. The Vacaville, California native played his freshman season at Diablo Valley College, where he appeared in all 12 games and completed 232 of 348 passes (66.7%) for 3,022 yards and 28 touchdowns. He averaged 251.8 passing yards per game and ranked ninth among California Community College Athletic Association quarterbacks. In a standout performance against San Jose on October 18, McLeod completed 20 of 25 attempts (80%) for 278 yards and four touchdowns. At Vanden High School, he threw for 4,494 yards and led the Vikings to a 3-A state title while being named the state's No. 1 passer.
