Danny Odem III is a true freshman left cornerback for Nebraska standing 6'0" and weighing 175 pounds. Originally from Farrell, Pennsylvania, Odem spent his first two seasons at Farrell High School before transferring to The First Academy in Orlando, Florida. At The First Academy, he recorded 45 tackles with two interceptions and three pass breakups as a junior. He earned Navy All-American Bowl selection and all-district honors as a senior, including three interceptions in one game against the defending Florida 7A state champion. Across his first three high school seasons, Odem totaled 80 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and five interceptions.
