Caleb Benning is a free safety for Nebraska who stands 5'11" and weighs 200 pounds. From Omaha Westside High School, he joined the program as a three-time All-Nebraska honoree and earned All-State recognition. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Benning appeared in 11 games and compiled 20 tackles, including a career-high 13 against No. 15 Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl. He also returned a squib kickoff 25 yards at Maryland. Benning earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025 and is a returning member of the roster.
