Brendan Black is a right guard from Yulee, Florida, who attended The Bolles School before joining Iowa State as a three-star recruit. At Iowa State, Black appeared in 36 games with 30 starts at right guard across three seasons. In 2023, his first year, he took the field in 10 games and made seven starts. During the 2024 season, Black played in all 14 games with 13 starts as the Cyclones set a school record with 435 points scored and recorded 27 rushing touchdowns. Black transferred to Nebraska and in 2025 played in all 12 games, making 10 starts at right guard while helping running back Carson Hansen earn All-Big 12 honors. He holds Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll recognition.
