Ashton Murphy is a 6'5", 275-pound offensive lineman from Elkhorn, Nebraska, who attended Elkhorn South High School. At the prep level, Murphy recorded 65 tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks during his senior season, earning first-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald. He also helped the Storm average more than 215 yards per game on the ground en route to an 11-2 record and a state championship game appearance. Murphy redshirted in 2024 after playing in one game. As a redshirt freshman in 2025, he appeared in four games, recording four tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, and 1.0 sack. He recorded an 11-yard sack against Akron in his season debut and added tackles against Houston Christian, Northwestern, and Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl. Murphy is a three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection and earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition in 2025.
