Rico Jackson is a 6'6", 322-pound left guard for NC State who hails from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he played offensive tackle at Dillard High School under head coach Tyler Tate. Jackson spent four years on the varsity squad, helping lead teams that went 12-1 as a freshman, 6-0 during a COVID-shortened sophomore season, 10-2 as a junior, and 7-4 as a senior before advancing to the second round of the playoffs. A consensus three-star recruit ranked the No. 213 player in Florida, Jackson enrolled with the Wolfpack in January 2023 and redshirted that season. In 2024, he appeared in two games, recording nine snaps from scrimmage against Stanford and special teams action in the bowl game.
