Katron Evans is a nose tackle for NC State standing 6'3" and weighing 336 pounds. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, Evans attended St. Francis Academy in Maryland, where he helped lead the Panthers to an 11-1 record and No. 4 national ranking by MaxPreps in 2019. A consensus four-star prospect ranked No. 10 nationally at his position for the Class of 2021, Evans began his college career at Jackson State in 2021, recording 14 tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks across seven games. He transferred to Charlotte, where as a redshirt junior in 2024 he appeared in 12 games with eight tackles and a 22-yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown against Florida Atlantic. Evans most recently played at Marshall, appearing in 11 contests as a redshirt senior in 2025 and accumulating 12 total tackles.
