Ethan Dowdy is a 6'2" wide receiver from Powhatan, Virginia, who graduated from Powhatan High School in 2022 and attended Myrtle Beach Collegiate Academy before joining Hampden-Sydney. As a freshman in 2023, he appeared in nine games with nine receptions for 67 yards and a long of 23 yards. During his sophomore season in 2024, Dowdy emerged as the leading receiver, recording 54 catches for 723 yards and nine touchdowns across nine contests. He transferred to NC State in May 2025 and is now in his junior year with the Wolfpack, appearing in limited offensive situations with three receptions for 25 yards.
