CJ Bailey is a junior quarterback for NC State who arrived from Chaminade-Madonna in Miami, Florida as a four-star recruit. During his freshman year in 2024, he started nine games and ranked seventh among FBS freshmen in passing yards with 2,413. He posted a 144.0 efficiency rating, the seventh-best in school history and best ever by a true freshman. Bailey threw for 329 yards against Syracuse, the most by a Wolfpack true freshman since Philip Rivers in 2000, and earned ACC Rookie of the Week following a comeback win at Cal.
