Jacob Carlson is Navy's punter and a junior from Plano, Texas, where he graduated from John Paul II High School in 2024. During the 2025 season, Carlson served as the starting punter and appeared in all contests, recording 37 punts for 1,647 yards with a 44.5-yard average. He placed 16 punts inside the 20-yard line and recorded 11 punts of 50 or more yards, including a career-long 66 yards against South Florida. Carlson was named to the 2025 Ray Guy Award Watch List following Navy's game at Temple. In 2024, his freshman year, he appeared in three games as a backup, averaging 53.9 yards on 8 kickoffs.
