Bio

Gavin Woods is a senior defensive tackle for Navy, standing 6'3" and weighing 232 pounds. A 2023 graduate of Smithson Valley High School in Bulverde, Texas, Woods was a multi-sport athlete who lettered in baseball twice and football three times. He earned three All-District selections and was named District 12-5A-I Defensive MVP as a senior. Woods recorded 17 sacks during his junior year, breaking his school's single-season record, and earned Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A First-Team All-State honors. He led Smithson Valley to three consecutive Bi-District championships and claimed district, area, and regional titles his senior year.
