Bio

Alex McCalop is a senior defensive tackle for Navy, standing 6'2" and weighing 289 pounds. The Greensboro, North Carolina native graduated from Southeast Guilford High School in 2022, where he lettered four times in football and wrestling. In football, he was a four-time Mid-Piedmont 3A All-Conference selection and a three-time Defensive Player of the Year (sophomore, junior, senior years). He earned All-State honors in North Carolina three times and was a three-time All-Conference wrestler, named Conference Wrestler of the Year twice. McCalop attended Naval Academy Prep School during 2022-23 before joining Navy. He has not appeared in varsity action through 2025 and majors in English with a 3.18 grade point average.
