Derion Gullette is a 6'3", 240-pound jack linebacker for Mississippi State who transferred from Texas. The Marlin, Texas native redshirted his true freshman year in 2023, then appeared in five games without starting in 2024. In his 2025 redshirt sophomore season, Gullette played in 10 games with two starts, recording 38 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, 2 quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. He made his Mississippi State debut against Southern Miss on August 30 and earned his first career start against Texas on October 25, where he posted 1.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss. His season high came with seven tackles versus Arizona State on September 6.
