Sam Macy is a 6'5" defensive lineman from Chanhassen, Minnesota, who wears No. 45 for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. A redshirt sophomore, Macy attended Chanhassen High School, where he recorded 38 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three sacks while helping lead the Storm to a 13-0 record and state championship as a senior. He was named First-Team All-State by the AP and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025. Macy missed the 2024 season due to injury and did not see game action in 2025.
