Brett Carroll is a center for the Minnesota Golden Gophers standing 6'5" and weighing 320 pounds. From Olathe, Kansas, Carroll attended Olathe East High School, where he wore No. 71 and was a consensus three-star prospect rated as the No. 8 center nationally by national outlets. He also competed as a heavyweight wrestler, winning the 6A KSHSAA state championship in 2023 and 2024, and captured the state shot put title in spring 2023. Carroll redshirted in 2024 and made his collegiate debut in 2025, appearing in two games including contests against Northwestern State and Oregon. He is currently a redshirt sophomore with two letters earned.
