Joshua Nichols is a right cornerback for the Michigan Wolverines from Detroit, Michigan, where he attended Renaissance High School. After redshirting his freshman year in 2022, Nichols saw no game action in 2023 or 2024. In 2025, he appeared in one game at defensive back against Central Michigan on September 13 and earned his first varsity letter. He was named Scout Team Special Teams Player of the Week for his preparation work ahead of the New Mexico matchup. Nichols is a returning senior for the 2026 season.
