Chase Herbstreit is a quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines. The Cincinnati native attended St. Xavier High School, where he was a three-year starter for the Bombers. In 33 games as a starter in high school, he passed for 3,983 yards and 32 touchdowns against 14 interceptions while accumulating 657 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. As a senior, Herbstreit completed 131-for-243 passes for 1,609 yards with 18 touchdowns and five interceptions, adding 660 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He was a three-star prospect rated as the nation's 128th overall quarterback. At Michigan during his 2025 freshman season, Herbstreit did not appear in games but was named co-Scout Team Player of the Year on Offense.
