Charlie Baker is a 6'4", 252-pound tight end from East Lansing, Michigan, where he attended East Lansing High School. As a senior in 2023, Baker recorded 55 receptions for 916 yards and four touchdowns while also contributing on defense with three interceptions for 121 yards, including two returned for scores. He earned Detroit Free Press Division 2 All-State First Team honors and helped lead the Trojans to a 10-3 record and Division 2 semifinal berth. Baker redshirted during his 2024 season at Michigan State and did not see game action in 2025, though he was named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree and earned Scout Team Player of the Week recognition twice.
