Mykah Newton is a defensive tackle for Miami, standing 6'3" and weighing 275 pounds. The Gainesville, Florida native from Newberry High School signed with the Hurricanes as a three-star prospect, earning rankings among the top 60 at his position from major scouting services including Rivals (No. 54), national outlets (No. 55), recruiting services (No. 60), and recruiting services (No. 84). In high school, Newton recorded 21 tackles for loss and nine sacks during his senior season, accumulating 66 tackles for loss, 36 sacks, and six forced fumbles across his prep career.
