Chris Ewald Jr. is a left cornerback for Miami who stands 6'1" and weighs 175 pounds. The Sunrise, Florida native from Chaminade-Madonna was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, ranked No. 106 overall by Rivals and No. 240 on recruiting services' Composite Rankings. As a senior in 2024, he recorded 41 tackles including 23 solo, 20 pass breakups, and was named 4A-1A Defensive Player of the Year by the South Florida Sun Sentinel after helping lead the Lions to a state title. During his true freshman season in 2025, Ewald saw action in two games, making his debut against Bethune-Cookman on September 6 before appearing in the Syracuse win on November 8, and was redshirted.
