Kellen McConnell is a 6'2", 232-pound linebacker from Kensington, Maryland, who attended Bishop O'Connell High School. At the high school level, he played long snapper, defensive end, and linebacker, earning two-time All-Conference honors and two-time Defense MVP recognition. McConnell joined Maryland as a redshirt sophomore in 2026. He did not appear in game action during his freshman year in 2024 or as a sophomore in 2025, though he was named an Academic All-Big Ten selection and received the Scout Team Special Teams Player of the Year award in 2025.
