Bryce McFerson is a punter from Indian Trail, North Carolina who transferred to Maryland from Notre Dame. The 6'2", 191-pound specialist was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class. At Notre Dame in 2023, he averaged 45.1 yards per punt across 38 attempts. In his 2024 Maryland debut, McFerson appeared in all 12 games, totaling 52 punts for 2,343 yards with a long of 64 yards and a 45.1-yard average that ranked fifth in the Big Ten. During the 2025 season as a redshirt junior, he finished second in the conference with a 44.2-yard average and placed 19 punts inside the 20-yard line, earning Second Team All-Big Ten honors.
