Dez Ellis is a 6'2", 180-pound true freshman cornerback from Wisner, Louisiana who signed with LSU as a 2026 prospect. At Franklin Parish High School, Ellis earned All-State honors as a quarterback, posting 2,184 passing yards and 31 touchdowns alongside 827 rushing yards and 10 ground scores during his junior season in 2024. That year, he led his team to a 10-2 record and the state playoff quarterfinals before earning First-Team 4A All-State recognition. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,395 yards and 26 touchdowns. Ranked as high as No. 28 nationally by recruiting services and No. 45 at cornerback in the Rivals composite, Ellis carries a 4-star rating.
