T.J. Capers is a 6'2", 225-pound weak-side linebacker from Miami, Florida, who redshirted in 2023 after arriving as one of the highest-rated recruits in Louisville history. A four-star prospect ranked 117th nationally in the 2023 class, he received five-star recognition from Rivals.com and was tabbed the No. 14 player in Florida and No. 5 outside linebacker in the nation out of Columbus High School. Capers appeared in 11 games as a reserve in 2024, finishing with six tackles and one interception. In 2025, he stepped into a starting role, appearing in 13 games with seven starts while recording 46 total tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, one interception, and one pass defensed.
