Jacob Smith is a 6'4", 235-pound weak-side linebacker from Corbin, Kentucky, who transferred to Louisville from the University of Kentucky. A four-star high school prospect ranked as the state's No. 2 recruit and a top-20 edge rusher by Rivals, Smith recorded 103 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks during his senior season at Corbin, earning first-team all-state honors and Under Armour All-American recognition. In 2024, he saw action in four games for Kentucky, including his first collegiate tackle versus Ohio. During the 2025 season, Smith appeared in three games for the Cardinals, playing against Tennessee Tech, Vanderbilt, and at Louisville.
