Fitzgerald West Jr. is a 6'2", 300-pound nose tackle from Lafayette, Louisiana, who attended Lafayette Christian Academy. West was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2022 before beginning his college career at LSU, where he appeared in two games during the 2023 redshirt freshman season with two tackles. He transferred to Louisiana and appeared in 13 games in 2024, recording 22 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and one sack. West posted five tackles in games against Texas State and Marshall, with an sack against ULM that resulted in an 18-yard loss. He returns for the 2026 season as a redshirt senior with the Ragin' Cajuns.
