Ashton Wright is a defensive tackle for Louisiana standing 6'4" and weighing 298 pounds. The Mobile, AL native from B.C. Rain High School appeared in five games during his 2024 freshman season, including the Sun Belt Conference Championship Game against Marshall on December 7. He recorded three tackles that year, posting two solo stops in his collegiate debut against Arkansas State on November 9, with an additional tackle at ULM on November 30. Wright saw action against South Alabama and Troy. In 2025, he registered seven total tackles and one fumble recovery. He is currently a redshirt sophomore returning to the program.
