Tre Lawing is a linebacker for the Liberty Flames standing 6'0" and weighing 200 pounds. The Appomattox, Virginia native graduated from Appomattox County High School, where he earned first-team all-state honors as a quarterback during his junior and senior seasons and helped lead the program to back-to-back state championships. Lawing appeared in four games during his freshman year in 2023, facing Bowling Green, WKU, Louisiana Tech, and Old Dominion. He saw action in one game during 2024, appearing against Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl. In 2025, Lawing recorded one solo tackle across limited playing time. A senior in 2026, he remains on the roster as a returning player.
