Refeno Vangates is a wide receiver and return specialist from Miami, Florida who transferred to Liberty from North Carolina Central. He began his college career at Keiser University, appearing in 25 games across the 2023-24 seasons and recording 61 receptions for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2024, Vangates saw action in 13 games with 11 starts, posting 45 receptions for 737 yards, nine touchdowns, and 25 kickoff returns for 662 yards, earning first-team all-conference recognition.
