Joe Strickland is a nose tackle for Liberty who transferred from Purdue after three seasons (2022-24). The Indianapolis native graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School as a consensus 4-star recruit ranked 227th nationally by national outlets. At Purdue, Strickland earned Academic All-Big Ten honors twice (2023, 2024) and saw action in the 2022 Citrus Bowl against LSU and the 2024 season opener versus Indiana State. In 2025, he recorded five total tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one quarterback hurry. Strickland holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Purdue and is pursuing an MBA in Finance at Liberty.
