Jakorion Caffey is a running back from Avon, Ohio, who transferred to Kent State as a redshirt sophomore. He originally committed to Cincinnati as a consensus three-star recruit and top 100 national running back prospect. At Avon High School, Caffey was the program's all-time rushing leader with 4,463 yards and earned All-Ohio Division II First-Team honors. During his 2023 senior season, he rushed for over 1,400 yards at 8.0+ yards per carry and added 438 yards with 10 touchdowns in the regional championship run. At Cincinnati, he saw action in two games during 2025, recording 2 carries for 2 yards, while retaining eligibility as a freshman in 2024.
