At Avon High School, Caffey was the program's all-time rushing leader with 4,463 yards and earned All-Ohio Division II First-Team honors. During his 2023 senior season, he rushed for over 1,400 yards at 8.0+ yards per carry and added 438 yards with 10 touchdowns in the regional championship run.
