Syeed Gibbs is a 6'0", 190-pound nickelback from Everett, Massachusetts, who transferred to Kansas from Georgia Tech. At Rhode Island in 2023, he appeared in 10 games as a redshirt freshman, recording 52 tackles and three interceptions while earning NCAA Division I FBS freshman All-America honors. He spent one season at Georgia Tech in 2024, playing in 10 games with six starts and totaling 22 tackles and four tackles-for-loss. In his first year as a Jayhawk in 2025, Gibbs played in nine games with two starts, accumulating 23 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and three pass breakups.
