Jason Strickland is a defensive lineman for the Kansas Jayhawks standing 6'3" and weighing 279 pounds. The Olathe, Kansas native attended Blue Valley Southwest High School, where he played defensive tackle and offensive line under head coach Anthony Orrick. As a senior in 2023, Strickland recorded 17 tackles, 2 tackles-for-loss, and 2.0 sacks and earned SportsInKansas All-State 5A First Team honors. His father, David, played football at Kansas from 1988-1993. Strickland did not appear in games during the 2024 and 2025 seasons and returns as a redshirt sophomore in 2026.
