Noel Portnjagin is a left guard from Karlsruhe, Germany, who played for PPI Recruits before joining Florida. He was listed as the #39 offensive tackle in the class of 2024 by national outlets and ranked as Germany's top recruit overall. Portnjagin competed in the German Football League for Schwäbisch Hall, leading the team to a division championship and the German Bowl. He earned All-State Baden Württemberg honors in 2021 and represented the German National Football Team in 2022. At Florida, Portnjagin made his collegiate debut against Tulane on December 20 in the Gasparilla Bowl and appeared in one game during 2024. He did not see action in 2025 while making the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll both years. Portnjagin transferred to James Madison as a redshirt sophomore.
