Mac Sanders is a 6'2", 225-pound middle linebacker for Jacksonville State. A consensus three-star recruit from McDonough, Georgia, Sanders chose the Gamecocks over offers from Troy, UAB, Georgia State, and East Carolina. In 2025, he appeared in all 14 games with 10 starts as a true freshman, recording 85 tackles to lead the team. He posted 11.5 tackles for loss, 5 quarterback hurries, 2 pass breakups, and 1.5 sacks. Sanders earned 2025 Conference USA All-Freshman honors and 2025 New York Times Freshman All-America recognition. He is projected as a sophomore for the 2026 season.
