Aidan Thompson is a 6'2", 230-pound linebacker for Jacksonville State wearing number 35. From Winder, Georgia, Thompson prepped at Winder-Barrow High School under head coach Ed Dudley, where he played both running back and linebacker. As a junior in 2021, he was named GHSA Region 8-6A Two-Way Player of the Year after recording 46 tackles and nine tackles for loss on defense while rushing for over 540 yards offensively. Thompson redshirted in 2023, then saw action in four games as a reserve in 2024, including a tackle in the Conference USA Championship game against Western Kentucky. In 2025, he appeared in the first three games, recording 11 total tackles and one quarterback hurry before suffering an injury.
