Jacob Cruz is an edge rusher from Acworth, Georgia, who attended North Cobb Christian before playing two seasons at Georgia Tech, appearing in 19 games. A consensus three-star recruit and Georgia Region 6-2A Defensive Player of the Year, Cruz transferred to Jacksonville State for the 2025 season. In 13 games with two starts, he recorded 15 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, and one quarterback hurry while contributing on special teams and the defensive line. Notable performances included three tackles with a half TFL and an interception against FIU, and a TFL in the Conference USA Championship against Kennesaw State.
