Ian Mitchell is a 6'4", 245-pound edge rusher from Pleasant Grove, Alabama, where he recorded 55 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks at Pleasant Grove High School while earning 4A second-team all-state honors. Mitchell appeared in all 14 games during his 2025 freshman season with Jacksonville State, primarily on special teams, accumulating four tackles with one for loss. He intercepted a pass with 50 seconds remaining in the third quarter against Troy in the Salute to Veterans Bowl, setting up the go-ahead touchdown.
