Jaylen Watson is a 5'11", 187-pound left cornerback for the Iowa Hawkeyes, a returning junior from Detroit, Michigan. He attended Toledo Central in Ohio, where he was a two-sport athlete in football and earned first-team all-state, all-region, and all-conference honors as a senior. Watson appeared in 10 games during his 2024 freshman season, recording five tackles (three solo, two assists) and earning a letterman. In 2025, he played in all 13 games with two starts, posting 15 tackles (13 solo, two assists) and his first career pass break-up in a 40-16 victory at Nebraska. He recorded a season-high seven tackles in the ReliaQuest Bowl win over #14 Vanderbilt.
