Evan James is a 5'10", 170-pound wide receiver from Apopka, Florida who transferred to Iowa as a sophomore. He attended Leesburg High School, where he played receiver and defensive back. In 2023, James caught 33 passes for 649 yards and 10 touchdowns while helping the school to a 10-win season. The following year, he recorded 46 receptions for 962 yards and eight scores.
