Evan James is a 5'10", 170-pound wide receiver from Apopka, Florida who transferred to Iowa as a sophomore. He attended Leesburg High School, where he played receiver and defensive back. In 2023, James caught 33 passes for 649 yards and 10 touchdowns while helping the school to a 10-win season. The following year, he recorded 46 receptions for 962 yards and eight scores. James, born September 22, 2006, is pursuing an enterprise leadership degree and is the son of William James and Shanita Tyson.
